Video Borescopes Help You Meet Your Inspection Needs
Video borescopes are the advanced type of Borescope, which houses a small CCD chip that embedded to the tip of scope. The borescope itself is an optical device that contain of a flexible tube or rigid with an eyepiece located on one end, and on the other an objective lens that linked together by relay optical system. The optical system commonly is surrounded by optical fiber that used for illumination the remote project. Objective lens form an internal image of illuminated object and it is magnified by eyepiece that present to the eyes’ of viewer.
The work system of video borescopes is nearly similar to borescope. The video image resulted is relayed from the focusable lens and distal tip assembly back to display through the internal wiring. It is different from a traditional fiberscope and borescope because borescope uses hard optical relay components for transferring the image to an eyepiece from the tip, while the Fiberscope uses coherent image fiber optics for relaying image to the eye by using an eyepiece. The quality of videoscope image is superior for a fiberscope. It also can be compared with that of high-end video camcorder.
Video borescopes are similar to the flexible borescope, however it uses miniature video camera on the end of flexible tube. There is a light at the end of insertion tube that makes it possible to make video or image captures deep in engines, equipment, and another dark space. As the device for remote visual inspection, video borescope gives many benefits for its user. The display in the handle is showing the camera view, and you can also change the viewing position with a joystick control or other similar control. Video borescope is much cheaper and has better resolution due to the complex optical waveguide has replaced with electrical cable.
